The journey of market-based solutions to mitigate climate change, started in the Japanese city of Kyoto in 1997. During these discussions there was a policy realization that all actors, including governments and private sector, need to act: and so the concept of Carbon Credit was born. This international consensus culminated in Conference of Parties 2025 (COP 25) in 2015, commonly known as the Paris Declaration. The Article 6 allows for Carbon Trading between countries. Â
Carbon Libre is working on market-based solutions, both in Voluntary Carbon Markets (VCMs) and Compliance Carbon Markets (CCMs).Â
